Auto body repair & detailing: left rear quarter panel and shock, low profile tires, rear quarter panel

Question
Gm Dave,
I have a 2002 nissan altima. It was involved in a minor wreck Where the centre support beam is slightly bent Where the left rear door has the lower and upper catches that mount to the support beam.
However,
The left quarter panel where the left rear tire is at is kinked with a crease and the door isnt able to close properly due to it being off trackfrom the kink and the crease ; I have gotten a new rear door which I have secured by  ratchet straps so it doesnt fly open when Im driving. Also, the rear shock same sideis new but, as Im driving. I hear squeaking crunching sounds after rolling over speed bumps or road conture elevations like in Tennessee, lots if hills, valleys etc..Anyhow, whatcan you suggest for me to help resolve or repair the problems. By the way, theres no underbody damage and from the shock or knuckle Its eating up $250 low profile tires..
Thanks,

Answer
Hi Phrederiquio!....From your description of the damage, I would honestly recommend that you have your vehicle towed to a local Body Shop in your area, and have them provide a detailed damage estimate, for 3 reasons....First, if the tires are being chewed up, there is definite suspension damage, which becomes a safety concern....Second, if the rear door is no where near closing, that it needs to be strapped shut, there is definitly structural damage to either the "B" Pillar, "C" Pillar, Dog leg, Inner 1/4 panel structure, Rocker, or any various combinations of the above mentioned....This is also a safety issue....Third, a vehicle that has sustained this type of damage, will need the proper pulling and anchoring system equipment, sheet metal repair/replacement procedures, suspension replacement, and a 4 wheel Thrust Alignment....These should all be done by qualified Technicians....As I cannot stress the safety issue enough....Thanks for your question....Dave
