Auto body repair & detailing: how to find a cheap body shop, morgantown west virginia, rocker panel

I own a 2002 SAAB 9-5 that I maintain myself, except body and paint. The book value is nil but the car drives like a jewel. I can't spend a fortune to fix a dent. I got a dent on the door a a bit of rust on the rocker panel at the rear wheel. I got 3 estimates and all places did the same: they tacked way too many hours on the estimate and used $44/hr for it. That is outrageous but all body shops seem to be using the same estimating program so I wonder... how do find a cheap body shop near Morgantown, West Virginia, 26505?

Hi again Ever!...My name is Dave Norgardt...We had talked a couple of times before....I hope any advice I offered to you helped you out....As for finding a cheap Body Shop, as you know, I am not in your area...What I would do, no matter what the location is, is to call as many insurance companies as possible...And ask them who they rely on...Insurance companies are in the buisness of making money...So they would have a line on who is the cheapest...Also, you might consider checking out Maaco...As far as the hourly door rate goes....$44/hr is honestly a good rate...Here in Canada, and in the province of Alberta where I live, the door rate is $75/hr...Where ever you take your vehicle, please make sure that you get a written warrantee/guarantee...That way, you have some recourse if repairs are not done properly...Or not done to your satisfaction...Drop me a line and let me know how you made out...If you have any more questions, please write me back...I would be more than happy to try and help you out...Thanks...Dave
