Land Rover Repair: 95 rangerover key, becm, push buttons

Hi,

I bought a 95 hse rangerover that had no key as the owner lost the only remote key he had. So I got a 2nd hand ignition, door lock and remote key. I can start the car now and lock/unlock the door with the key but cant get the remote to work?
any help would be much appreciated.

If you want the pushbutton locking to work you will have to take the BECM from the car you got the locks from, and put it in your vehicle.  You will then need to align the security between BECM and engnie ECU so the car will start.

The push buttons are matched to BECMS and cannot be reprogrammed
