Auto body repair & detailing: follow-up, turtle wax car wash, lexus es350

Question
QUESTION: Hi Gregg, Thanks for taking this question. While driving down Interstate 95 in Florida I was plastered by swarms of bugs that hit my windshield and front of the car and grill. I had to stop every 30 minutes to clear the windshield because I was uanble to see through the density of the dead bugs. I washed my car superficially and went into a car wash at my destination but I still have smudges of the remains of the bugs on the grill, license plate, side view mirrors and worst of all on the front of the hood of the car. Do you have any suggestion of a cleaner to remove the remnants of the bugs. I washed my car (2009 Lexus ES350) with Turtle Wax car wash but the stains did not come out. Any suggestions?
Carl

Just Like New Overspra
ANSWER: You can use any type of automotive degreaser or simple green. They make a cleaning block called a bug brick. Wash the areas down with the bug residue, then spray the ares with degreaser or simple green. Let that sit for about 20 to 30 seconds, then use the bug brick. Once you think you have an area clean wash off the degreaser. You might have to do this more than once. Bugs have allot of acidity in them and if not cleaned properly or left on to long, they will etch the paint. Good luck I hope this helps.

Answer
Go to any auto parts store or walmart. Go to the car cleaning section. Simple green is the commercial name. There are cleaning pads for bug removal in those sections, plus several brands of degreaser.http://www.majesticsolutionsinc.com/scrubbers.html there is a link that has bug bricks. I hope this helps.
