Auto body repair & detailing: Paint, lacker, autoshop

Question
Good day,

I have sanded a section of my car to removed the rust, I have primed it and the surface is now perfect and ready to receive the new paint. The original paint is base coat clear coat and the paint I am preparing to put is a lacker I beleive, I have made an autoshop mixed it for me to match as close as possible the original. I do not know what to do to apply this paint, I guess I need to ovelap to the original paint but that would mean to remove the clear anyway, I need to have a more specific description on how to do this then after it is dry, do I wet sand it, then polish and waxe it later ?

Thanks

Answer
Stephanie.....you can't put laquer paint over base coat clear coat as it will cause a reaction.
You would have to prime the entire panel before the application of laquer paint.

There is a good chance that the paint you were supplied with is a single stage enamel.

You will have to do the entire panel.
