Auto body repair & detailing: repairing imperfections after sealer has been applied, dings and dents, datsun 280z

Question
Hello, i am repairing a hood on a 1978 datsun 280z,  i have repaired the dings and dents that were present, applied mp182 2k primer surfacer, block sanded entire hood and was happy with the results. i then sealed entire panel with mp 213 gp sealer. after spaying a wet coat i could see minor scratches and imperfections. what can i do at this point to repair these flaws?  can i sand and glaze or more surfacer? thanks in advance for any help.

Answer
Hi Bob,

You should be able to sand and re-apply the MP182 primer over the MP213. However, for the most durable repair I would recommend that you think about completely removing the MP213 because it's a 1K finish and it's not a good idea to sandwich a 1K coating in the middle of a 2K finish. Especially, if you are doing a restoration.
