Auto body repair & detailing: Cost of painting and replacing car door, ppg paint, paint code

The driver's side front door of my car is dented beyond paintless dent removal can fix. I'm trying to figure out which is better - give it to body shop or replace the door with a used one. I have found a driver's side car door (different color) on Ebay for $150. I would like to get this door painted to match my car color, and then have it replaced. What kind of cost estimate am I looking at?

Hi Sam,

It's going to depend on what type of paint you use and it will also depend on the paint code on the vehicle. If you can let me know the make and model of your vehicle I can instruct you as to the location of the paint code. Since I am a PPG dealer I can give you an idea as to what it will cost using the PPG paint line. Other brands will differ in price with most of them being more expensive.
