Auto body repair & detailing: Replacing Interior Door Handle Trim on Ford Explorer, auto mirror, peter fitzgerald

Question
I have a 1991 Ford Explorer. I have the part and clips to replace the drivers side interior trim door handle (what you pull on to close the door). It looks like it is held in place by two screws and then a bunch of clips. Do I have to take off the entire door trim panel first or can I just focus on the handle itself, pull out the auto mirror adjust switch, door lock switches, auto window switches and just clip them back in once the trim handle is installed? Thanks for your help. Peter FitzGerald

Answer
You need to remove the switch plate first, under that, you will find at least one screw. There should be another towards the back of the armrest. Remove any other screws around the trim panel, then pop off the panel, replace your part and reassemble.
