Auto body repair & detailing: Auto body repair estimate, minor accidents, auto body repair

Question
I was in 2 minor accidents in the last 2 weeks. The day before going for an
estimate for the damage to the rear end of my 2005 honda accord 4dr I was
side swiped by a kid in a BMW SUV. No apparent damage to the SUV and the
kid would like to take care of this without involving insurance. I have a narrow
dent running the length of both Rt doors, a small dent and wheel marks on
the Rt front fender and scuffs to the mirror. The damage doesn't look that
bad but the guy at the body shop where I'm having the back fixed estimated
$939 for the repairs. I also just did a online estimate and got a similar
number. Is it really that expensive to fix something that looks so minor?

Answer
Karl-

It can certainly be expensive to repair cars these days. Consider the price you paid for it!!! To be honest with you I can't imagine repairing and refinishing 3 panels and dealing with an issue on the mirror that inexpensively. Make sure you select the repair shop carefully and insist on a lifetime refinish warranty (as long as you own the car). Good Luck- Mark
