QuestionI had a tire blow out on my 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 long bed. It damage the driver side rear quarter panel. My question is, does the whole truck bed need to be replace since it's one piece? Or can it be repaired in that one section.
AnswerThe bedside can be easily replaced, usually much more cheaply than putting on, say, a used bed assembly. That is, unless you can find a perfect bed, the right color. That can be a tall, expensive order. The bedside is drilled off, and a new bedside either glued or plug welded on. It's done every day, and its a common repair. Bill
