Auto body repair & detailing: ford trunk lids, ford fairmont, trunk lids

got a sweet '78 ford fairmont...the torsion bars that hold up the trunk have come out...tried like a madman to reinsert them but I can't wind them enough-- they really need to be wound about 180 degrees- that's alot! Is there some kinda tool to be used? i appreciate your expertise by the way I use to live in salem and pennsgrove. oreo from ct.

the only way i know and the way we do it is to go into the trunk and close it HAVE SOMEONE OUTSIDE TO LET YOU OUT. and pry HARD they suck and still do on some cars we never found a tool do do them with , but if you go in the trunk it makes it easyer so you don't have to go as far.
