Auto body repair & detailing: Replace / repair door skin on Honda Civic, honda service manual, nuts and bolts

Question
I have a 2000 Honda Civic (4-dr, DX) and I have dents on the door skin on the drivers side (both front and back doors). As far as I can tell, there is no frame damage. I was wondering how I would go about removing and replacing (or repairing) the door skins. I have a Honda service manual, but it only shows how to open the door panel from the inside.

Answer
Door skins are not a job for an amateur, they are crimped on all the way around. The skin needs removed, then the new skin crimped on. It's a difficult task for even guys with a couple years of body work under their belt. You  will likely mangle the skin trying to crimp it to the old frame, and the new skin needs carefully alligned on the old panel. Once it's on, if it's crooked, it's crooked for life. Honda door gaps are already unforgiving. I suggest finding used doors instead, Most amateurs can handle nuts and bolts. Bill
