Chrysler Repair: stratus will stop shifting, independent garage, autozone

I have a 97 stratus. It will runa and shift fine for about half a mile. It then will not shift at all. The odometer and tach does not work at well. Please help

I would suggest a fault code readout, which you can get at an Autozone parts store for free or for under $40 at an independent garage. Let me know the 4-digit fault codes that you find and we'll go from there.
