Auto body repair & detailing: clear coat on a powdercoat?, wet paint, auto paint

i work at a powder coating facility so i have the availibility of a disounted powder coating for my chevelle.

my question is can you still put a wet paint( conventional auto paint) clear coat on top of a powdercoated clearcoat?

furthermore what are the advantages of a wet paint vs powder coat? aside from having to strip the entire car for a powder coat i am just wondering why i should spend 5-6K minimum on a paint job when i can get a powder coat to look about the same for less than half the price.

Richard yes you can put auto clear over powder coat as long as you scuff it up first.i don't think its a good idea to put powder coat on a car for 1 you will have to strip down the whole that means you will not be able to have any filler or brazing on the car but its up to you its your car
