Auto body repair & detailing: scratches, grit sandpaper, notto

Question
I have a 2002 Toyota that has a lot of scratches, none that are to a rust stage.  I really would like to repair or do something to these areas.  None are over 6 inches and don't seen to break the primer. It is a deep red in color.  Thank you for any help.

Answer
David,
This probably requires professional help.  Most scratches that you can feel with your fingernail require wet sanding with 1500 or 2000 grit sandpaper, then a fine to medium cutter to remove the sanding marks, and then a good polish/wax.  If you want to do something by hand, try Meguiar's Scratch X.
Hope that helps,
Notto Jensen
