Auto body repair & detailing: clear coat fiberglass, paint manufacturers, fiberglass

Question
i bought a motorhome and the previous owner sprayed a clear coat  on the existing fiberglass siding with out the proper preparation.  The clear coat is now peeling off in sheets.  I am using a stripping agent made for fiber glass to remove the remaining clear coat.  Any suggestions on a faster technique?  My main question is how to spray a clear coat on the fiberglass the proper way?  It is smooth siding.  What product do I use?  What is the proper Prep?

Thank you for the feedback.

Answer
I dont have any idea why there would be a clear coat on fiberglass RV but it sounds like you are on the right track with a chemical stripper.Make sure the stripper stays moist by covering it with plastic and do small areas at a time.Let the stripper do the work. There will be a lot of sanding involved as well as maybe even some primer work.Follow the paint manufacturers instructions and take your time with the prep work. This is a big project you dont want to have to redo.
