Auto body repair & detailing: Deer hit me on drivers side tonight!, side mirror, auto body repair

Question
Unsure whether to go to auto body repair or a regular mechanical auto shop (i.e. dealer) as miraculously, after being banged into by a deer tonight, the only thing that seems 'ruined' is my side mirror...black plastic is hanging out and attached to that seems to be wires. I lost the mirror itself and the part that attaches to the car seems to be only slightly at an angle on one corner where it meets the body of the car. Also there is an interior crack within my side window that is about an inch and a half long. You can not feel it from inside or outside but I wonder if it would grow bigger with temp changes as winter comes? Essentially, my question is if I just need a side mirror and window..is that a job for the autobody guy or my dealer? Also, if I decide to live with the window and just want to replace the mirror, do you think it would exceed my $250 deductible? Lastly, it has been awhile since I have filed a claim...does the insurance company send me the check or the shop? Thanks for any help you can offer...just not sure where to start with my phone calls tomorrow...hope to hear from you soon & THANKS!

Answer
You can go to your dealership for a mirror replacement or glass replacement. the mirror replacement will cost about$200 depending on what type of car you have. The insurance company will issue a check to you and the repairer unless you request it just in your name. Estimates are free get a couple.
        Thank you for the question!
