Thinking about buying a 2003 Mazda Protege LX 4dr with 27000 miles.  Driver's door has loose handle and appears to have been painted.  Lower door panel rattles and "gives" when you push on it or shut the door.  Likely problems and/or repair costs? Everything else seems OK

Something is definatly wrong with the door. It should not rattle when you shut it. Without looking at it myself I have no idea what is wrong with it sorry I cant help. I reccomend taking to your mecanic and have him look at it. If you are buying it from a dealer tell them to fix it. If you buy it from person there will be no guaranty with it.
