Auto body repair & detailing: Kia Rio Side Panel, auto body shop, rio side

Question
Hello, A few days ago someone bumped my car on the drivers side between the door and wheel well. I am guessing it was backed into. I first noticed it when the door wouldn't open all the way and I had to pry it out a bit so the door could swing open. My question is this, how hard is it to take off the front drivers side fender or side panel. Is it connected by clamps or maybe bolts? Also what would you suggest as to fixing the bent portion so I can try and get it back into shape..

Thank You Very Much

Dan

Answer
Dear Dan,
You might be better off to take it to your local auto body shop. The fender and side panel are held on by bolts and sometimes spot welds. This can be very difficult. It is hard to tell about the dent without seeing the damage. Cosmetically you can use body filler and paint.
