Auto body repair & detailing: door adjustment, correct position, striker

Question
How are doors adjusted when it appears the hinges are welded on? My "91 S-10 Blazer driver door is hanging a little low and is starting to stick when it's oppened and shut.(found out too late it had been wrecked/repaired, not the best job)

 Get two strong people and gloves and open the door wide and everyone lift up staying close to the end of the door or do the same with a jack under the end of the door with a block of wood (inside of door bottom).  Slowly close the door checking the alignment with the latch and striker, assuming the striker is in the correct position and have not already been tampered with.  If you happen to go to far, you can always get a friend or two and hang on the door to bring it back down.
