Auto body repair & detailing: Mold/Mildew, mold mildew, getting rid of mold

My husband and I bought a salvage 98 explorer. It sat at a wrecking lot for about 6 months. It acquired some mold/mildew. We had it fixed and now it is filthy! And STINKY! Smells like a mix of new paint and MOLD. We are thinking of having it detailed because its too much work. Will the detailers be able to get rid of the mildew? If not, do you have any tips for us of getting rid of mold/mildew?

Hello Adria,
 We suggest taking it to a detailer, they have the heavy duty cleaners that may take care of the problem.  Be sure to tell them about the smell.  
 We use a product called Odor-Gone we purchased at our supplier.  You may be able to fing this at an auto parts store, like NAPA.  
 Try the detailer  first, it is alot of work to do it yourself.
