Auto body repair & detailing: Window tint, razor blade, glue residue

Question
I bought a used Saab tht has what I think is an aftermarket tint on all the windows but the front.
Can this be removed or lightened in any way?
My wife doesn't like it particularly at night when making a left turn when you tend to glance out of the driver side window. Also the AM radio reception has a lot of static and the manual said tint have some metallics that can affect reception. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Answer
   hi sass,
if you take a single edge razor blade and start the corner of the tint then you can pull most off it off. you may have to restart the edges if the tint brakes off as you are pulling on it. after you get the paper off there will still be a glue residue on the glass. just spray window cleaner on it and scrape it off with a single edge razor blade. start at the top and scrape the glue to the bottom , keep it wet with window cleaner. after all the glue is gone just clean the glass as normal. thanks for writing.
