Auto Glass: Blazer quarter window, 1998 Chevy Blazer LT Quarter Glass

Question
Have a 1998 Chevy Blazer LT and the driver's side rear quarter glass is broken. I'd like to know how to go to a salvage yard and safely pull the part from another vehicle to have installed on my own car.

Answer
Deb,

I was going to Reject your question because Glass & Salvage Yard and SAFELY are not normally used together in the same sentence. It is also Memorial Weekend and I don't really have the time but I want to steer you in the right direction here so don't forget to Rate my answer.

If you are lucky enough to own a Full lift gate LT the part new is 100.00-125 and installed by a professional glass guy 40-85.00 is the safest way to go.

If by chance you are not that lucky and need the non full lift gate Quarter glass
then it needs to be cut out by machine at the Yard and after they are done with the Donor truck
they can cut out your glass remains and then you have to clean all glass and glue off used glass prime pinch weld and glass and use 1 tube of 3M Auto glass urethane adhesive to glue it back in.
