Auto Glass: 99 ford windstar - windows dont work, ford windstar, replacement job

Hi Ben, im looking into buying a 99 ford windstar, only problems I see with it are that both driver and passenger windows do not roll down or up, thanks for the help

My immediate reaction is that the window motors have probably failed   The window motors on this vintage of Windstar fail more often than average.  A an experienced technician could verify that diagnosis in less than ten minutes.  

Ford only sells a re-manufactured replacement motor for this vehicle.  I have not had very good experience with it.  There is a good new after-market motor/regulator replacement part available, but due to the nature of how the mechanism and glass are attached to one another (riveted) the replacement job is probably best left to someone with extensive power window repair experience.
