how to remove drivers side rear interior door panel on a 2005 ford f150 XL standard cab

Hi Dave,

Follow these steps:

1.  Pry open the screw cover plate behind the door release handle.

2.  Remove the two screws behind the cover plate.

3.  Pry up the window switch plate (front edge 1st) and release the
   wire connectors from the switch.

4.  Pry off the speaker cover and remove the speaker mounting bolts
   and the speaker. Pay close attention to how the speaker is
   mounted so you can replace it properly.

5.  Remove the two plastic "speaker standoffs" (white plastic) at
   the bottom of the speaker opening.

6.  Remove the two small bolts at the bottom of the trim panel.

7.  Remove the single small bolt in the middle of the panel just
   behind where the window switch panel is located.

8.  Carefully lift the door panel straight up and slightly away from
   the door.

9.  While supporting the door panel, reach behind the panel and
   release the door latch cable from the door release handle.  Be
   very careful, it is easy to break the lever where the cable
   connects to the handle.

10. Now you can set the panel aside.
