Auto Parts: MAZDA TRUCK WONT START, mazda truck, vapor lock

Question
Mike, I spoke with you in April at the time my 2000 Mazda B2500 would stall then would not start it would shake violently. Then 1/2 hour later it would start and be fine for a few weeks. You suggested I change coil packs and plugs. We did that and the truck ran great for 2 months. Today I parked it and tried to start it again and it shook and wouldn't start. Then waited 1/2 hour and it started fine. Very hot day ( if that info helps) ....Both previous times upon this problem there were NO CODES. I did not check for codes today....I need some help I don't want to replace parts for nothing, but I NEED my truck to not stall or today to start ! ...Thanks, Adam

Answer
Just because there's no codes doesn't mean something ain't broke.  I would get a mechanic with a good scanner to check the ECM's control of the ignition coils.  It could be failing without giving a code, but a scanner will reveal that (a real scanner, not a code reader).  Extreme heat can also cause vapor lock in the fuel system, get him to check for that, too.  Heat is the worst enemy of anything electronic, it was 103º here today.
