Auto Parts: Engine rebuilding information, clevite bearings, custom pistons

Question
I am going to be rebuilding a Chrysler 2.0l sohc 4cyl and i would like to have it bored out to a larger size but i want to know what a safe size would be without making the sidewalls too thin. Also, any idea what parts to use for internals? I may turbo or supercharge it so you know as far as internals

Answer
You can tell how much is safe to bore by what size pistons are available.  If .030" is the biggest piston available, then that's the biggest bore that's safe.  Actually, you might go higher, but you'd need custom pistons.  If you are contemplating serious power-adders you should have the connecting rods polished and stick with the best Clevite™ bearings.  Polishing the rods can be costly, so you might want to make the power-adder decision before starting the project.
