Auto Parts: Belts, back breaks, hyundi

Question
I have a 2003 Accent Hyundi with 44,000 miles, but the belts are squeeking and I was told the belts were wearing.  Do you know how much just the belts would cost and I could have someone put them in?

Also, my back breaks are squeeking when I lift up from pad.  I guess I need break estimate too.....

Answer
You can buy all three belts for around $30, total.  If you have to pay the shop for them, they'll charge you around $60, which is fair.  Labor shouldn't be a whole lot, no more than 2 hours at whatever rate your shop charges.  Keep your fingers clean and probably get the whole deal done for around $150-$175.
Get the brakes checked when you get the belts changed.  There's no way to know what they need done without taking them apart first.  If you are one of the many people who don't use their parking brake every time you park, start using it.  That may be all that is wrong; the parking brake is what adjusts the brakes.
