2006 Buick  Le Sabre. The driver side passenger rear window electric opener broke. I taped the window shut. how di i remove the door panel to repair the mecanism. i am a retired engineer with a welder handy. jerry asks

Shouldn't need a welder Sir, hehe.  

A door-panel-fastener removal tool is best, but if you're careful with a flat-tip screwdriver you can pry the door panel loose after taking out any/all screws.  Most likely you'll also have the door lock rod to disconnect behind the panel once you get it loose.
