I have a 1994 Ford Taurus and i was wondering how do i go about taking off the headlight covers so that i can clean them?

    They're not dirty on the inside, it's on the outside, and it's not dirt.  The UV radiation in sunlight hits the plastic lens and changes the molecular structure of the plastic, turning it brown.  You can go to any auto parts store and buy a little kit for fixing this problem; shouldn't be more than twenty bucks or so.  It will take a little bit of work, I would set aside a couple of hours.  Or, you could replace them, but new ones are about $70 each (they don't come apart, the lens is glued to the reflector).  You can go ahead and shine up your turn-signal lenses while you've got the kit.
