Auto Parts: ChevyPASS-KeyIII+ operation, chevy dealer, gm dealers

Question
I have an 06 Impala.I lost both sets of keys.I had a new key made and the service tech at the dealership wrote down instructions so I can learn the key myself without having to tow the car to the dealer and then having them charge me for doing that.
So I lost my keys once again.I cant go to my usual chevy dealer because the are no longer in business.I went to a dealer today had a key made,i thought i still had the original written instructions but of course I didnt. So I called the dealer who made my key and they would not tell me how to do it.They stated I would have to tow the car to them because only they can do it.I know this is not true because I have done it myself twice and it has worked both times.Obviously my luck w/ keys is very bad.I was wondering if you knew the process and if so if you would please tell me. Thanks for your time

Answer
No, I'm afraid I don't.  But, I always use an automotive locksmith who is much more cooperative than any of the dealers.  If I was you I would try a few other GM dealers, they all use the same system.  One of them ought to feel a little more helpful than the SOB you talked to, maybe even someone else at that same dealer.  The dealer business is tough right now, they're trying to squeeze every drop of blood out the stone.
