Auto Parts: car rotors, buick allure, brake pads and rotors

I have a 2005 buick allure, 40,000 kilometers, the question is how long should the rotors last

I wish I could give you a solid answer to your question.  The fact is, some vehicles are inherently harder on brake pads and rotors than others.  I can't say if yours is hard on brake rotors or not without physically seeing them and/or getting a good assessment of the situation.  

Other factors contributing to premature wear could be riding the brake pedal, living in hilly conditions, lots of stop-and-go driving, etc.
