Auto Parts: steering column, 1989 dodge ramcharger, wheel drive models

need a steering column for a 1989 dodge ramcharger,4x4 360 mag. auto,(don't care if it's for a straight shift and does not have shifter on column, the shifter has been replaced with floor shifter) I know this is a short bed truck made suv, and most truck parts interchange, but what years will fit this truck without modifing the vpart or truck?

Sorry for the delayed response but my computer has been down for the last few days.

The interchange for your steering column is as follows:

DODGE 100 PICKUP 88-89 Floor Shift; 4x4
DODGE 150 PICKUP 88-90 Floor Shift; 4x4
DODGE 250 PICKUP 88-90 Floor Shift; 4x4
DODGE 350 PICKUP 88-90 Floor Shift; 4x4
RAMCHARGER 88-90 Floor Shift

The column shift model is also available with and without tilt option but both show a difference between 2 and 4 wheel drive models and no notes exist for their interchangeability which usually means that they 'can' be interchanged, as you have done, providing you are willing to accept whatever differences there may be or modifications/fabrications that need to be done to make it fit/work.

Looking for a reputable service technician? My advice on finding a good technician is: Steer clear of the dealership and 'chain' stores like Firestone, Sears, Pep Boys, Monro Muffler/Brake, Midas, etc. as they usually only employ ONE ASE Certified Tech just so they can say they do and chances are, that guy is the asst. manager or manager and is not in the store to diagnose/repair vehicles anyway. Find a service location in the link below or get some names out of the yellow-pages and do a drive-by. Garages that employ ASE Certified Technicians will be marked with the 'Blue-Seal' insignia. If unsure about whether a place employs Certified Techs, just ask to see their credentials. ALL ASE Certified Technicians will be PROUD to show and display their certificate(s).
