QuestionQUESTION: Had to fill PS reservoir because of pump whine and noticed fluid dripping out of the top of the box at the sector shaft adj. nut. What could be leaking? Is there a seal or a vent that's doing it?

When you say dripping out, I'm going to have to assume only a very tiny amount is being pushed out so I'd have to say there is a bad seal, somewhere. Typically it is the pitman seal that goes on those Ford's, but yours may be leaking from another location. If I were able to actually look at it, I could tell you for sure.
Looking for a reputable service technician? My advice on finding a good technician is: Steer clear of the dealership and 'chain' stores like Firestone, Sears, Pep Boys, Monro Muffler/Brake, Midas, etc. as they usually only employ ONE ASE Certified Tech just so they can say they do and chances are, that guy is the asst. manager or manager and is not in the store to diagnose/repair vehicles anyway. Find a service location in the link below or get some names out of the yellow-pages and do a drive-by. Garages that employ ASE Certified Technicians will be marked with the 'Blue-Seal' insignia. If unsure about whether a place employs Certified Techs, just ask to see their credentials. ALL ASE Certified Technicians will be PROUD to show and display their certificate(s).

QUESTION: I sprayed the area (the sector shaft cover, nut, adjuster, etc--all the top of the box)with brake cleaner until it was perfectly clean and dry. After starting the truck, the area under and around the sector adjustment nut begins to get wet with fluid, sort of radiating out. It's not squirting, just a slow, constant wetness that end up dripping off the box. Thank you. Larry
