how do i install a ashtray in my 92 explorer dash. the case and base. i removed it to install a radio.

This shouldn't be too difficult of a task to accomplish.  Your best bet is to run down to your favorite auto parts store and pick up either a Haynes or Chilton manual for your vehicle.  The instructions will be there on how to remove and install the component you're speaking of.  And, every maintenance manual I've ever purchased has been the best $20 I ever spent!  :)
