HEAD GASKET DIESEL.I SHAVED THE HEAD GOT THE SAME HEAD GASKET THAT WAS ON BEFORE WHICH THEY CALL A 3 NOTCH. BUT IT WENT AT ABOUT 2OOOKM. IS IT IMPORTANT TO RETORQUE THE BOLTS AFTER A CERTAIN AMOUT OF KM'S??

Hi Pat,

Typically if you shave the head or deck the block you have to purchase a thicker head gasket to compensate. Higher compression ratings will result by replacing with a standard thickness gasket and that could lead to premature problems.
