Car Alarms: Compustar Alarm, compustar remote start, jeep wrangler

Question
Ok so i have a 1998 Jeep Wrangler, i bought a Compustar remote start/alarm for it last week. I wired everything up that applied to the jeeps wiring, (you know i don't have power locks and windows so i didn't wire those things up) but anyways, when i plug in, the control box makes it's noises saying it's on and and the led's do also. I can't get it to program to my car when it's on,  though using the instructions. they didn't say anything in the instructions about wiring it into your tacometer or even what wires to use but it did say that if it didn't work you might have the wrong tac wire...this is where i'm messed up, i also can't get the remote to program using the instructions, but i believe this is because the system won't program. Hopefully you understand and can help. thanks a lot

Answer
You are probably correct since we believe the compustar
does require that the tach wire. You will find
the tach wire to be at the coil and the color is
gray. Run the wire through the same hole you ran your siren
and then attatch. The should be a tach learning procedure at that point,
listed in the remote starter set up in
the manual.

You should be good to go after that.

Good luck.
