Auto Parts: steering column, periferals, tilt column

Question
I was disassembling my steering column to solder and shrink wrap the wiper module wires and a small black spring clip popped out of the black casing and I didn't catch out of mt periferals where the hell it fell from it is a retainer of some sort about an inch in length a unique shape but I can't decipher a matching seat for it it the molding any Idea where I might find a detailed exploded parts diagram of assembly. It's a tilt column in a 90 full size Silverado Blazer. if you can lend me a brain cell or two I'd appreciate it the chiltons didn't help any.

Answer
Hi Kevin,

How deep were you into the column at the time of the part-flight? There are several small springs and clips in those columns and how far in you got would be a great help. If it happened right after you removed the steering wheel, it is probably the horn clip, that is usually encased in a small black plastic sleeve. It won't affect vehicle operation but your horn won't work.

Thanks for the question, I hope this information was helpful to you.
