Auto Parts: combination/dimmer switch, high beams, electrical switches

Question
I have a 2003 Chev. Impala base model and love it. It was made in Canada. The high-beam switch does not catch,i.e., it only flash-to-pass the pull travel of the lever. I can feel a slight indent at the lever position for high beams

Answer
Hi Charlie,

Common issue with those new-style column electrical switches. They do like five things inside a single unit so if one item fails, the entire switch needs to be replaced. Steering wheel removal is required but the switch is only held in by a couple of screws at that point so it is an easy-fix for the do-it-yourself-er.

We have them available used if that is the avenue you'd like to choose.

Thanks for the question, I hope this information was helpful to you.
