i would like to know if the motor off a 1991 ford explorer will fit in a 1989 ford ranger.

Upper intake manifolds '91-92 have no EGR holes & '93-94 are available with or without EGR holes.
Switch oil pans as necessary. Pan changes in 1994.
Exhaust manifolds must be switched '91-92 & 93-94.
Left hand exhaust manifolds must be switched Cal./Fed. '93-94.
Right valve cover must be changed for extended oil filler.
Available with or without low oil sensors.
6 bolt crankshaft.
See notes to determine proper interchange.
