Auto Parts: I.D. Casting numbers C6 Ford, ford transmission, casting numbers

Hey Knucklebuster,
I was wondering if you know where I can find the exact location of the casting I.D. numbers on a 76 model C6 ford transmission? Your helpful information will be greatly appreciated.  Thank You,  Ronn

Hi Ronn,

My interchange notes on this do not list cast ID's. The difference in the C6's for these years was determined by the engine it was being mated to.

There was a difference between the 300's, 360 and 390's were the same, 460's and there is a separate 4WD version.
