Auto Parts: Air Control Switch Wont Move-Civic, control switch, something in the way

Question
I just recently bought a 96 Civic and a few days ago everything worked fine. The AC came out cold and the heat was hot. I got a stereo installed and then a few days after, I tried to slide my air control switch from heat to AC, but it won't move past the middle. It feels like something is stuck in there. I tried really hard and it won't move. I hadn't tried to move it to AC since I got it bc I've had to keep the heat on. I have no idea what could be causing this but I hope it's nothing big! The car is in perfect condition besides that and is under 100k miles.

Answer
Hi Adriann,

I believe you've answered your own question.

I'm guessing the stereo is in the way of the slider of a wire got hung-up on it or something like that. Remove the stereo and see if the slider operates normally again, if it does then there is something in the way when the stereo is installed.

Thanks for the question, I hope this information was helpful to you.
