Auto Parts: 2000 Chevy 4X4 has the shakes, piston skirt, chevy 4x4

My daughters truck started shaking.  It does this idiling or driving. What could the problem be?

Huge lack of information. If it shakes while sitting idling, then it is probably a dead cylinder in the engine. A plug is fouled or a wire became disconnected or is arcing to ground. Maybe a bent or burnt valve, a piston skirt could have broken off, etc. I'd definitely need more information than you've given me here to even form an opinion.

When you go to your doctor, you don't tell him you have a pain and make him figure out where.
