Answer
Hi John,

Do an internet search. There are tons of places that will cut a new transponder key for your vehicle. The dealership will see dollar-signs when you ask them to get you a new key so I'd definitely advise checking online and locally first. MOST locksmiths can also make a key for you but the cost may be similar to that of the dealership because of the equipment cost but you'll walk away with the new key in hand. Online transponder-key dealers have a wider range of customers and can therefore charge less per transaction because of this but it may take you a week to see the new key and you'll have to send them the current key for them to replicate which means you will do w/o the use of that car until the keys are returned. Most online retailers offer free overnight return shipping though which tends to decrease wait-times.

Thanks for the question, I hope this information was helpful to you.
