Auto Parts: wiper...linkage?, position thanks, metal tab

Question
the drivers side wiper in my 96 corrsica has gotten out of line from an ice storm. Instead of going all the way down in the "OFF" position it is 1 notch up. This causes it to go off the windshield when on. How can i adjust this so i don't go through  many wipers?

Hi Jason,
There are two different styles of wiper arm attachment.
Bolt-on style:
Remove the cover and lock-nut from the wiper arm you need to adjust and pull it straight-off. Re-align it and tighten down the lock-nut.
Clip style:
raise the end of the wiper arm up until it rests, pull the small metal tab from the base of the arm where it attaches to the wiper transmission and pull straight-up. Re-align and push the clip back into position.
