Auto Parts: car rebuilding, driveline components, salvage title

Question
ok i just bought a 2006 civic from a dealership that was in an accident. pretty much i want to rebuild the car myself as my own little project. i was wondering what would be the best way to go about fixing the frame at the bottomr of the door panel on the inside it seems to be bent and all, also the quarter panel is kind of dented alittle bit. on the top of the car there is a small dent size of a apple also. my other question is if i use racing seats, then i would have to pay for replacing the passenger seat airbags right?

Answer
Hi jr,

Wow, I hope you aren't a novice at body/collision repair. Your 'best' way to repair that rocker is to replace it which means removing most of the interior and cutting-welding a new one in. You'll still need to take it to a collision shop and have them attach it to their frame-machine which is quite expensive but it is required to make sure the driveline components cause the vehicle to track correctly.
seat air-bags are not a requirement for any inspection but if the vehicle was originally equipped with driver and passenger front bags, these will NEED to be intact. If you decide to go w/o the seat bag, the driver seat bag will also need to be disconnected in order to turn out the 'SRS' light and allow functionality of the rest of the system.
Please make yourself aware of ALL the pros and cons of having a salvage-title before you purchase the vehicle. R-Titled vehicles have other restrictions you may not know about.

Thanks for the question, I hope this information is helpful to you.
