Car Alarms: 2007 Toyota Matrix XR Alarm issues

Alarm goes off if using remote to lock doors. If manually locking doors, it does not go off. If you do not manually lock all doors and just the one door manually, it will go off. What is causing this issue? Thank you.

Sounds like a conflict between the after market system, that was put in (the remote) and
the standard function of the factory door alarm.

My suggestion is to not manually lock/unlock the doors.
Use the remote for all functions, or park the remote
and just use the key to get in and out, but not both.

The conflict will be eliminated.
