My husband just bought a 2011 dodge Durango but the key didn't come with the key fob only the key. The problem is his alarm goes off every time he unlocks the door until he puts the key in the ignition, is there a way to disarm it until we can get a replacement key

If it's the factory alarm, no there is no way to turn off, its inside the vehicle computer
don't go to the dealer for the remote,  buy it online and call your local lock smith
