Car Alarms: Massivly faulty old car alarm

Ok so I am working on a 1997 volkswagon jetta with a Clifford matrix 10 alarm installed. Recently I replaced the dead battery on the key fob which engaged the car alarm. Since then I have been unable to turn on the car with out setting the alarm off and it kill switched my starter. I unhooked the controller brain but now the horn part of the alarm goes of still, somehow, and the ignition is still unable to engage. Also just add more fun to the project the valet override is simply non existent and the unlock button on my fob does nothing. :( IS there anything that can be done at this point?
