Car Alarms: Pretige remote Model#APS2K4SBCF

Question
I have a 2004 pontiac montanna that has a remote starter and alarm on it. I had two remotes for it, one got ran over and it automatically turned off the whole system, the only thing that worked was the keyless entry part so we stop using the other remote, and just use the regular remote for years. I remember seeing this wire on the van floor with a little button on it I pressed it a few times over the years nothing never happen. The button is now gone but the wire is still there. After all these years yesterday my was doing some shopping and hen she came out to get in the car the installed alarm went off and would'nt cut off ant the van would'nt start is there any to reset the other remote to make it work.

Answer
Ok then, get over to the local car alarm shop,
or, even a Best Buys will
have a valet switch that will fit for your
alarm.

In the mean time, locate the 2 wires that were
connected and are hanging free.

Then twist together, turn on the ignition,
hold both wires to ground until the siren chirps.

That should reset and place the alarm into
over ride for now. Nothing accept the keyless entry
if installed will operate until you repeat the
same steps.

Then get a new switch and you're all set.

Have a good day.
Let me know if you were
successful.
